Well the last few days were spent preparing for our first public meeting in Toksook Bay, AK. We are flying out on tomorrow for Toksook by way of Bethel and will be meeting with the community on Friday evening.
Jennine and I are very excited and nervous about how it will go. Now that a community has been selected for a community plan, we can focus our energies on getting it done before she and I are finished for our internships.
We fly out tomorrow at 7am so we have to be at the airport no later than 5:45am! ugh. Thankfully the sun will be up and bright out by that time so we won't feel like we are getting up in the dark. The only trick is to get to bed at a decent hour which is sooooo hard due to the sun blazing until about 11:30 at night and it really never gets dark.
